president and two houses. The two houses of the Indian parliament are
referred to as
1)      The House of the People (Lok Sabha),
2)      The Council of States (Rajya Sabha),
3)      The President of India is a member of Parliament, though they do not sit in either House. All lawsuits passed by the Houses become effective only after the President's assent.
