Detailed Solution

Baba Ramchandra led the peasant movement in Awadh during the Non-Cooperation Movement.
The Non-Cooperation movement in the countryside was based on the struggles of peasants and tribals. In Awadh, the Non-Cooperation Movement as a peasant struggle was led by Baba Ramchandra, who was a sanyasi. The peasant movement was aimed at talukdars and landlords who extracted huge revenue from the peasants. Moreover, peasants had to beg and work in landlord’s fields without payment. Thus, the movement led by Baba Ramchandra demanded a reduction of revenue, abolition of begar, and a social boycott of the oppressive landlords.
