Detailed Solution

Baba Ramchandra led the peasants' movement of Awadh. In the 1920s and 1930s, Baba Ramchandra struggled against the injustices perpetrated by landowners. The Non-Cooperation Movement embraced the struggles of peasants and tribal people. Peasants were made to labour for free on the landlord's farm(Begar). Peasants used to be subject to hefty rent demands and other cesses from landlords and Talukdars. The peasant movement of Ramchandra wanted the social boycott of tyrannical landowners, the elimination of poverty, and a decrease in taxation. The Panchayats staged nai-dobi bandhs in numerous locations to deny landowners access to even washermen and barbers.
