Detailed Solution

The Protestant Movement was led by Martin Luther.
The Protestant Movement was a religious reform movement. The movement spread to the entire European continent in the 16th century. The leaders who began and led the movement were Martin Luther and John Calvin. The movement is responsible for the creation of a new branch of Christianity which is called Protestantism. This branch fundamentally differs from the Roman Catholic Church in doctrine, practice, and ideas. Protestantism grew as one of the three major forces of Christianity. The other two forces are Roman Catholicism and Eastern orthodoxy. The initial goal of the Protestant Movement under Martin Luther was to remove the impurities and corruption from religious institutions like the church and people.
