Detailed Solution

The Legislature makes laws in the country.
There are three organs of the government. They are 1) the Executive, 2) the Legislative, and 3) the Judiciary. The Legislative or the Legislature is the law-making body in the country. The Parliament forms the major part of the Legislature. It makes laws after a bill is proposed and passed to become an act. The Parliament is bicameral in India. It means it contains two houses: the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha. The Lok Sabha, or the House of the People, is the lower house, whereas the Rajya Sabha is the upper house of the Parliament. Moreover, the President of the country also forms a part of the Parliament. Without the permission of the President upon a bill, it cannot become an act or law.
