Herbert Spencer propounded the theory of "survival of the fittest".
According to him, species that could adapt to changing climatic conditions would survive. He explains that as the species adapt to the changing environment, they become much more potent. Racist thinkers and leaders like Hitler used these ideas of Spencer to justify imperial rule over conquered people. According to Hitler, there was no equality between the Nordic German Aryans and other racial groups. He considered that the Aryans were the fittest and finest race of all.
