  • On Thursday morning, more than 2000 police officers in Delhi demonstrated against their poor pay and the subpar food that the Police Lines canteen provided them with by refusing to eat.
  • The food that was given to the strikers, according to one of them, was unfit for human consumption.
  • They had to eat chappatis and dal because even cattle would not eat them.
