Detailed Solution

Mahatma Gandhi revived the Civil Disobedience Movement.
After returning to India from the Second Round Table Conference in 1932, Gandhiji reignited the Civil Disobedience Movement. Lord Irwin's refusal to comply with Mahatma Gandhi's eleven demands, including the elimination of the salt tax, prompted Gandhi to launch the Civil Disobedience Movement. Gandhiji initiated this campaign with his notorious Dandi March. On April 6, Gandhi landed in Dandi, where he had begun his salt march from Sabarmati, and breached the law by making salt there. The boycott of foreign apparel and the unwillingness of peasants to pay taxes to the British government coincided with the violation of the salt ban. Another way forest people broke the law was by invading reserved forests to obtain wood and graze livestock.
