Detailed Solution

“The Swaraj would not come for a hundred years if untouchability is not eliminated” was said by Mahatma Gandhi. According to him, if untouchability is not eradicated from society, Swaraj will not arrive for at least a hundred years. This is why Gandhiji referred to untouchables as Harijans, which means 'Children of God'. Gandhiji organised Satyagraha to prevent untouchables from entering the temple or using other public Wells tanks Road. He attempted to incorporate them into the civil rights movement. Gandhi's followers had public dinners in which they challenged untouchability by eating with individuals from all groups and castes.
