Detailed Solution

President selects the nominated members for both the houses of the Parliament. Two seats in the Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Indian Parliament, were reserved for Anglo-Indians. These two nominees were put forth by the Indian President at the government's suggestion. The President selects people with experience in the fields of art, literature, science, and social work to fill 12 seats in the Rajya Sabha. This nomination rule was created to give noteworthy people a seat in the Rajya Sabha without their having to run in an election. A nominee is only eligible to vote in the vice presidential election; they are not eligible to vote in the presidential election.
