Detailed Solution

Stalin started the collectivisation programme in Russia.
Stalin implemented collectivisation in the farm's programme as a result of severe shortages of grains in the early 1920s and outmoded production methods. Peasants were coerced into working together on collective farms known as "Kolkhoz" as part of this programme. Farmers and peasants who rebelled and disobeyed orders to carry out collectivisation programmes were harshly punished, and many of them were even deported and exiled from the nation. The peasants were also permitted to engage in independent farming, but the government treated them in an insensitive manner. The Russian collectivisation initiative did not instantly boost grain production.
