Detailed Solution

Count Cavour was called the 'Bismarck of Italy'.
In history, Otto von Bismarck was one of Prussia's Prime Ministers and served as Germany's first German Chancellor (1871–1890). Later, during the same period in Italy, "Count Cavour" was titled the "Bismarck of Italy" because of his efforts toward the unification of Italy. He was one of the Italian revolutionaries with a coherent plan for a "Unitary Italian Republic". But in the vision of the Italian ruling nobles and elite classes, a unified Italy would bring economic development. It would later cause the emergence and growth of an educated middle class and frightened the ruling elites. However, Cavour, a pioneer of the unification of Italian regions, was neither democratic nor revolutionary.
