Detailed Solution

Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan called Frontier Gandhi. In the northwest of the nation, then known as the North-West Frontier Province and now a part of Afghanistan, another Mahatma—Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan—was on the rise. At the same time, Mahatma Gandhi fought against the British authority there. Ghaffar Khan, or Badshah Khan as he was more well known, was greatly influenced by Gandhi's nonviolent approach and built up the first significant nonviolent army in the world in his territory. One hundred thousand of his people were convinced to put down their weapons and make a promise to oppose the British government without violence. He referred to this army as Allah's slaves or Khudai Khidmatgar. Given the terrible and savage history of the Pashtun people, which was characterised by invasions, murders, conquests, and occupations, it was no minor accomplishment. The Khudai Khidmatgar movement advocated peaceful, nationalist action in favour of Indian independence and tried to awaken Pashtun political unity.
