Detailed Solution

Ramabai was given the title 'Pandita'. Ramabai (1858–1922) fought for the rights of women to get an education. Although she was never schooled, her parents taught her how to read and write. Being able to read and write Sanskrit earned her the title "Pandita". In 1898, she established the Ramabai mission in Khedgaon, a village near Pune, where widows and underprivileged women were urged to acquire literacy and independence. They learned skills, such as carpentry and operating a printing press—activities that are still not typically taught to girls.
