Detailed Solution

‘Gulamgiri’ was written by Jyotirao Govindrao Phule. Gulamgiri means "slavery" in Hindi. Jyotirao Phule was a social activist and reformer. He was born in 1827 and was the first writer to criticise the caste system. Through this book, he wanted to draw attention to the injustices committed against the lower castes and how they were treated as enslaved people merely because they belonged to a lower caste. The book is written in the style of a dialogue between Jyotiba and a character named Dhondiba.
