Detailed Solution

Mahatma Gandhi was the author of the book Hind Swaraj.
Mahatma Gandhi wrote Hind Swaraj. This book was directed against unjust British rule. Mahatma Gandhi, in this book, wrote that British rule in India was established through the cooperation of Indians. It survives only because of the cooperation of Indians. He added that Indian collaboration must be terminated to end British control. It would lead to the downfall of British rule, thus culminating in the emergence of Swaraj. He propounded the non-cooperation of Indians, thus leading to the freedom movements of Khilafat and the Non-Cooperation movements. He, through his book, gave way to the national movement.
