Detailed Solution

Dr Rajendra Prasad was the chairman of the constituent assembly. M.N. Roy was the one who first put out the concept of a constituent assembly back in 1934. However, the real constituent assembly wasn't assembled until 1946, and it was based on the concept developed by the cabinet mission. The primary reason for the establishment of the Constituent Assembly was to facilitate the drafting of a constitution for an independent India. Dr Sachchidananda Sinha served as the Constituent Assembly's first interim chairman during its first session. After some time had passed, Dr Rajendra Prasad was chosen to serve as President, and Harendra Coomar Mookerjee was chosen to serve as Vice President. Constitutional law was BN Rau's area of expertise.
