The Drafting Committee of the Indian Constituent Assembly was presided over by Dr B. R. Ambedkar.
It had eight people in it. Dr B.R. Ambedkar served as the chairman of the Constitutional Drafting Committee because he was a wise constitutional specialist who studied the constitutions of around 60 different nations. He was an experienced constitutional scholar who investigated the constitutions of about 60 different nations. While the assembly was created on December 9, 1946, every member directly participated in this demanding effort, and the first draft was delivered on November 29, 1949. The task of creating the Draft constitution was given to the drafting committee.
