Who was the first person that observed and named cell wall?

Robert Hooke initially identified and named the cell in 1665. The term was given to it because, in his opinion, it oddly resembled cellular or tiny apartments occupied by monks. However, under a microscope, Hooke actually observed the dead cell walls of plant cells (cork).
