Discovery of Microorganisms by Leeuwenhoek

He observed tiny, moving organisms that he described as “animalcules”, which we now know as bacteria, protozoa, and other microorganisms. His detailed letters to the Royal Society of London in 1676 provided the first scientific evidence of microbial life.
