Detailed Solution

Qutbuddin Aibak was the first slave king of Delhi Sultanate. In the thirteenth century CE, the Mamluk Dynasty ruled over Delhi under Qutbuddin Aibak's guidance. One of the earliest dynasties to rule the Delhi Sultanate was the Mamluk Dynasty. Qutbuddin was the first slave king who was purchased as a slave by Muhammad Ghori, the ruler of Ghor in Afghanistan, after being born to a Turkish family in Central Asia. Aibak advanced through the ranks to become Ghori's dependable commander and general. After 1192, he was given control over Ghori's Indian holdings. In 1206 after Ghori's murder, Aibak proclaimed himself Sultan of Delhi.
