Qutubuddin Aibak was the first slave king of The Delhi Sultans. The Delhi Sultans was a massive Islamic state that ruled over a sizable area of the Indian subcontinent for 320 years (1206–1526). The Mamluk, Khalji, Tughlaq, Sayyid, and Lodi dynasties and the Tughlaq, Sayyid, and Lodi dynasties each had a turn at controlling The Delhi Sultans. It included a significant chunk of modern Bangladesh, Pakistan, and India. Qutubuddin Aibak, a general under Muhammad Ghori, ruled the Ghurids. He established a sovereign state following the death of Muhammad Ghori, which later became The Delhi Sultans. Qutubuddin Aibak was the first monarch of the Slave dynasty. Iltutmish, a well-known monarch, succeeded him.
