Detailed Solution

Vladimir Lenin was the leader of the Bolshevik party.
Vladimir Lenin overthrew the Russian government in 1917 and became one of the main political forces. His party, the Russian Social Democratic Workers' Party, adopted the name "Bolsheviks," and its rivals were referred to as "those of the minority" or "Mensheviks." Although both factions participated in the Russian Revolution of 1905 together, their differences grew. The Bolsheviks persisted in their demand for a rigidly organised, centrally controlled, and professional party, boycotted the first state Duma elections in 1906, and even refused to work with the ruling party and other political organisations.
