Detailed Solution

Alexander Kerensky was the leader of Russia's Provisional Government. It lasted nearly eight months. The government was governed initially by Prince Georgy Lvov and afterwards by Kerensky. Following the February Revolution of 1917, he emerged as a major political figure. When Russia's monarchy was overthrown in 1917, a provisional administration was constituted. Kerensky was appointed Minister of Justice in the government. He instituted numerous reforms in the newly established government, including abolishing the death penalty. However, his reign was cut short when the Bolshevik commander, Vladimir Lenin, destroyed his regional administration.
