In 1934, M.N. Roy proposed the idea of a Constituent Assembly foremost. The Indian National Congress created a formal demand in 1935. Dr. Rajendra Prasad was honoured as the first president of independent India and outlined India's constitution. The Constituent Assembly operated foremost on December 9, 1946. Dr. Sachchidanand Sinha was chosen as the acting President. H.C. Mukherjee was the Vice-President. On November 15, 1939, C. Rajagopalachari was the one who openly requested a Constituent Assembly.
