Detailed Solution

Czar Nicholas II was the ruler of Russia as a monarch in 1914. He was the leader of the Russian empire as an absolute monarch. He inherited the empire from his late father, Alexander. An absolute monarch cannot be questioned, and the citizens must follow his rules, ideas, and orders as absolute because absolute monarchy is not limited or defined by any law, rule, or constitution. The entire Russian royal family of Czar or Tzar Nicholas II was arrested and kept in seclusion by the bolsheviks in 1917. Nicholas and his close relatives were murdered by the bolsheviks on 17 July 1918.
