Detailed Solution

Guru Angad was the second Guru after Guru Nanak.
Before his death in 1539, Guru Nanak designated one of his pupils as his successor. His actual name was Lehna, but he later acquired the name Guru Angad to indicate his relationship with Guru Nanak. Guru Angad compiled the writings of Guru Nanak. Guru Angad standardised the Punjabi script, Gurmukhi, in which many passages of the Adi Granth, the Sikhs' holy book, are written.
