V S Naipaul was a writer whose forefathers migrated as indentured workers.
He is a Nobel Prize winner and a descendant of indentured labour migrants from India to the Caribbean. His full name was Vidia Dhar Suraj Prasad Naipaul. He was a Trinidadian-born British writer known for his great work in writing; he worked on fiction and non-fiction novels. He was also known for his iconic early novels set in Trinidad. He used to write vigilant chronicles of life and travels. The prose written by him was also admired. He had published more than thirty books over fifty years. He also got a Nobel Prize in 2001 and the Booker Prize in 1971.
