Detailed Solution

The female allegories of France and Germany were Marianne and Germania. In the nineteenth century, creators created female allegories to represent the country. She was given the popular Christian name Marianne in France, which emphasised the idea of a people's nation. Her traits—the red cap, the tricolour, and the cockade—were modelled after those of Liberty and the Republic. To remind the people of the national emblem of togetherness and urge them to identify with it, statues of Marianne were built in public spaces. Images of Marianne were imprinted on stamps and coins. Similarly, Germania evolved into an allegory for the German people. Germania is shown wearing an oak leaf crown because the German oak is a symbol of courage.
