Detailed Solution

The Central Powers of the First World War were Germany, Austria, Hungary and Turkey.
The alliance, called the Central Powers, was one of the two main coalitions that fought in WWI (1914–18). It consisted of the German Empire, Austria-Hungary, the Ottoman Empire and the Kingdom of Balkan state and was also called the Quadruple Alliance. These countries' colonies fought on the Central Powers' side, like German New Guinea and German geographical area. However, the Central Powers were defeated by the Allied Powers that had fashioned around the Triple Entente. The Central Powers' origin was the Federal Republic of Germany and the Austria-Hungary alliance in 1879.
