Detailed Solution

The Rajputs were the descendants of the Suryavanshis and the Chandravanshis. Rajput, which means "son of a monarch" in Sanskrit, is a sizable multi-component cluster of castes, kin bodies, and local communities who share a social rank and a belief in ancestry that stems from the Indian subcontinent. Rajput refers to a number of patrilineal clans that have historically been associated with warfare. The two main lineages of the Rajputs are said to be the Suryavanshi lineage and the Chandravanshi lineage. The Suryavanshi dynasty was founded by King Ikshvaku. The Yaduvansh dynasty descendants of King Yadu and the Puruvansh dynasty descendants of King Puru make up the Chandravanshi lineage (Somavanshi or Lunar Dynasty).
