Detailed Solution

Both blacks and the coloured were treated as inferiors under the Apartheid system. Under apartheid or the unique racial discrimination system prevalent in South Africa, all the people who were non-whites were treated inferior and discriminated against by the whites who were granted a superior status. This system of discrimination was based on the colour of the skin. The native South Africans, or ‘blacks’,  and the other mixed-race people or ‘coloureds’ were treated as second-class citizens. They were denied social, political and economic dignity. The white minority in power used the state machinery to impose such laws and statutes, which resulted in segregation between the whites and non-whites.
