Detailed Solution

Martin Luther wrote the 95 Theses. Martin Luther, a Christian reformer, criticised many Roman Catholic traditions and rites in his Ninety-Five Theses, which were published in 1517. In Wittenberg, a printed version of this was nailed to a church door. It challenged the Church to discuss his viewpoints. Luther's books were soon publicly read and copied in large quantities. As a result, there was dissension within the Church, which marked the start of the Protestant Reformation. Within a few weeks, 5,000 copies of Luther's translation of the New Testament were sold, and three months later, a second edition was published. Luther, who was extremely grateful for printing, declared that it was God's greatest and ultimate gift.
