Detailed Solution

Ashoka introduced Dhamma to make his subjects follow him on Buddha's path.
After the Kalinga war, Ashoka decided to observe Dhamma and teach others his doctrine. Ashoka took inspiration from the teachings of Buddha. 2) Dhamma of Ashoka did not involve the worship of any god or performance of any ritualistic activities. He felt that just as a father tries to teach his children, he has to instruct his subjects. He noticed that the Mauryan empire had several problems. People in the empire followed different religions, which sometimes led to intolerance and conflict. People sacrificed animals to offer ritualistic activities. People ill-treated the "slaves" and servants. Families and neighbours quarrelled over minor matters.
