Detailed Solution

Most of the workers opposed the introduction of new technology in factories in nineteenth-century England because of fear of losing employment.
In Victorian Britain, labour was in great supply. Workers in the industrial industry needed to have networks of friends and family in order to secure jobs. Workers' reluctance to accept new technologies was fuelled by concern over their future jobs since the new machines could finish the work faster, making the role of workers almost redundant. However, as more and more cities grew, there was an increase in the creation of new occupations in the later half of the 1840s.
