Detailed Solution

Russia left the war because it could no longer take part in it due to the socialist uprising that was raging throughout the country and the internal revolution that it was experiencing.
1917 saw the start of the Russian Revolution. The Czar was overthrown as a result of this revolution, and Lenin and his fellow revolutionaries eventually gained control of the country. The new government's first order of business was to end the war. Russia made this decision for the following causes:
(i) The majority of revolutionaries believed that the First World War was completely pointless because it was fought to further the imperialistic ambitions of the Czar and other European rulers.
(ii) Up to 6,00,000 of the Russian forces had inadequate equipment, and by 1917 had already perished in the War. There was no use in carrying on with such a battle of one's own destruction.
So, 4 is the most appropriate answer.
