Detailed Solution

The new merchants of the 17th and 18th centuries had to move to the countryside because of a strong guild system by Monopolisation. The rulers authorized them to monopolize the right to produce and trade specific products, rendering it impossible for outsiders or newcomers to conduct business. So they began relocating to the countryside, where peasants and artisans were eager to work for them. Several producers working within their family farms were involved in different stages of the production of commodities.
