Detailed Solution

There was outrage among the Indians because of the Rowlatt Act, as the colonial government passed this Act hurriedly even after facing opposition from the Indian members through the Imperial Legislative Council. This Act introduced by the British government gave them autocratic powers to oppress any political activities that were to be carried out by the political leaders of India. This Act also had a proposal of giving detention to the political prisoners without giving them the right to any trial for two years. This caused widespread resentment and extensive anger against the colonial government because it was unjust and oppressive.
