Detailed Solution

Woodblock print came to Europe after 1295 when Marco Polo brought knowledge from China.
Woodblock print was created in China sometime in the sixth century. In 1295, it travelled to Europe with Marco Polo. After spending several years exploring China, Marco Polo came back to Italy and carried the understanding of woodblock printing with him.
As a result, their circulation was restricted. In contrast, woodblock printing wasn't challenging. Additionally, it wasn't as delicate as the texts. As a result, woodblock printing started to be widely used in Europe to print religious images with short, basic phrases on textiles, playing cards, and other items.
At first, woodblock prints were mainly employed to disseminate religious texts and literature on medicine, philosophy, and lucky charms.
