Why do people migrate to far away places?

People in rural areas migrate to far away places in search of job opportunities. They especially move after the monsoon season because during the monsoon period they rely on cultivation and stay back in the village itself. However, after the monsoon people migrate to Urban or nearby areas in search of economic activities. Similar is the case with urban people who migrate to foreign countries in search of job opportunities.
