Why do we get the smell of perfume even when we are sitting several meters away?

The particles of matter attract each other by intermolecular forces of attraction. It is maximum in the case of solids, moderate in liquids, and the least in the case of gases. When we spray a perfume, its gaseous molecules disperse in the air with continuous movement. Thus we get the smell of perfume sitting several meters away.
