Why do we prefer to wear white or light-coloured clothes in summer and black or dark-coloured clothes in winter?

White clothes reflect most of the sun’s heat  and  absorb  very  little  of  the  sun’s heat,  thus they keep  our  body cool.

While the black  or  dark-colored  clothes  absorb  most  of  the  sun’s heat  and  keep  our  body warm.

That's the reason we  prefer  to  wear  white  or  light  coloured  clothes  in  summer  and  black or  dark coloured  clothes.
