Detailed Solution

We wear woollen clothes in winter to protect the body from cold. The clothing pattern of people depends on the climatic conditions of the region they live in. Woollen clothes protect from the cold and harsh winter. Woollen clothes have a lot of air gaps in them. Air, being an insulator, does not allow the body heat to dissipate, thereby keeping our body warm. In summer, we prefer cotton clothes. These do not trap air within them and allow evaporation of sweat. Cotton clothes have large air holes, facilitating air to pass. It helps in dissipating heat and keeps the body cool during summer. In this way, clothes are influenced by the climate.
