Why does an apple appear red?

A red apple is absorbing the color of the sun when we look at it. Red is the only colour that it does not absorb from the rainbow. Together, our brain and eyes and the red light that the apple reflects to tell us what colour we are seeing. Red is a color that both people and animals can feel attracted.
