Why is copper used for electrical wires?

Electrical wires are made up of copper because copper is a good conductor of electricity, and it is cheaper than other metals. Copper has low resistivity and high conductivity. Copper is a highly ductile and very flexible material. That’s why it is being used in electrical wires.
