Why is it difficult to walk on a floor where soapy water is spilt?

Friction makes walking on the floor possible. To walk on a floor, we push the ground backwards with one foot while the other foot is being lifted for a step forwards. Without friction, we can't one foot on the ground firmly due to which the body can lose balance and make us fall. When soapy water is spilt on a floor, the friction between the floor and the foot is reduced drastically. This makes the floor slippery and difficult to walk on.
