Detailed Solution

To boycott the Simon commission, an Indian National Congress session in 1927 at Madras.
At the Indian National Congress session held in 1927 at Madras, presided over by Dr Ansari, it was decided to boycott the Simon Commission "at every stage and in every form". This decision was made because there were no Indians in it. But on the other hand, the Muslim League and the Hindu Mahasabha supported the decision made by Congress. So, when the commission arrived in India in 1928, it was welcomed with the slogan "Simon go back". For once, at least, this united different groups and parties like the Muslim League and the Hindu Mahasabha.
