Detailed Solution

Treaty of Versailles was humiliating to the Germans for various reasons. Germany was compelled by the Treaty of Versailles to surrender enormous European regions and foreign colonies. Article 231, sometimes known as the ‘War Guilt Clause’, which required Germany to assume full responsibility for starting World War I, was arguably the most humiliating part of the treaty for Germany. Germany was compelled to pay significant reparations. The size and equipment of the German German military were also to be severely constrained. As a result, opposing it became a priority for the Nazi Party.
