JoSAA Counselling Fees Refund Rules and Conditions

• Partial Refund with Deduction: If a candidate withdraws their seat from JoSAA counselling within the specified withdrawal window (typically available from the second round up to the second-last round), the ₹35,000 seat acceptance fee will be refunded after deducting a withdrawal processing charge of ₹7,000. This means you will get back ₹28,000 if you withdraw your seat during the permitted period.
• No Refund After Certain Deadlines: If you miss the withdrawal deadline or if the institute confirms your admission (i.e., you report and officially join the institute), the fee is generally not refunded. At this stage, any refund would be subject to the refund policy of the specific institute, not JoSAA.
• No Seat Allotted or No Participation in Further Rounds: If you are not allotted any seat or do not participate in further rounds after paying the fee, you are eligible for a refund of the ₹35,000 (minus any applicable processing charges, depending on the specific scenario and policy updates).
• Incorrect Withdrawal or Late Application: If you do not withdraw through the official portal within the deadline, or if you apply for a refund after the final date, you will not receive any refund.
