Woodblock printing came to Europe after 1295.
Printing technology was first developed in China. The manuscripts from China travelled to Europe with trade across the silk route. The technology used by China was known as woodblock printing. Marco Polo was a traveller who stayed in China for many years. After years of exploration, he returned to Italy with woodblock printing technology in 1295. Italians began utilising this technology in producing books. And soon, his technology was exported to different parts of Europe, affecting every walk of life.
